Business conditions belong in the estimate
Restaurants, multifamily properties, retail centers, offices, and industrial sites can have different pipe sizes, grease exposure, shared lines, access rules, and acceptable shutdown windows. After-hours work, traffic control, equipment staging, and tenant coordination may add labor or planning.
- Cleaning, inspection, repair, or replacement
- Number of affected fixtures or tenants
- After-hours and emergency scheduling
- Safety barriers and temporary service needs
Compare the operational scope as well as the pipe scope
A commercial proposal should state the affected areas, shutdown requirements, communication responsibilities, access, testing, restoration, and contingency plan. Ask whether permits, grease-interceptor work, indoor cleanup, or tenant improvements are separate.
